I operated a CPA Firm specializing in tax issues. I sold the firm in 2006. Ninety five percent of the practice involved tax planning, audit representation and tax preparation.
I now practice as a CPA tax consultant.

I have also been the Tax Manager and Assistant Vice President of a national real estate
development and management company. I represented the company at audits and hearings on tax appeals. My staff and I were responsible for preparing the tax returns for over 60 companies nationwide.

I have worked as an auditor conducting field examinations of tax returns filed by individuals, partnerships and corporations. These examinations involved relatively complex issues concerning unusual interpretations of the tax law, unavailability of accounting and tax information needed to determine tax liability, and the use of nonstandard investigative techniques. Representative assignments included sizeable retail businesses such as automobile dealers and department stores, as well as, individuals who had substantial to high income.

My experience in the private sector will allow me to assess the problems due to budget cuts and develop a plan of action. Present and future budget cuts are a reality. The resources of the department must be effectively managed. I have the experience to make the tough decisions.
